Barnes & Noble

Preston & Royal

Dallas, Texas

Thank you very much to Astrid Talbott, Community Relationship Manager at Barnes & Noble Preston Royal in Dallas, for hosting my signing event on Tuesday March 6. Astrid said, "It was a pleasure to have you and we were very pleased with the results!"

The signing got off to a fabulous start when I met the very first child to appear. Makenna drove 70 miles with her mom and dad to meet me and have a conversation about writing books, reading and her own wish to become an author. I was so thrilled to meet her and look forward to visiting her hometown, Itasca, and her teacher, Haley Allen Shipman, this fall. Way to go, Makenna!

I had another very special visitor as well--Lori Riley, Head Librarian at Armstrong Elementary School in nearby Highland Park. She and I spent a few minutes getting acquainted before my visit to Armstrong scheduled for the next morning. After meeting her, I couldn't wait to meet the Armstrong kids.

Just when I was about to wrap up, I had a fabulous surprise when in walked my awesome niece Jenny Harris. She was carrying the very adorable James with her (pictured). Thanks for the support Jenny! Hopefully there will be many more Hideout Kids books for James to enjoy when he gets to age 6. He looks a lil' bit like Sheriff Tuff Brunson already!
